Employment
Davis & Davis, P.C. provides a broad range of employment law services to employers, including providing employment law counseling and drafting services as well as representing employers in employment-related litigation and before governmental agencies. The members of the firm include an attorney who is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law and Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. The employment counseling and drafting services provided to clients include: drafting personnel policies related to all aspects of the workplace; drafting employment agreements, including release agreements and covenants not to compete; and counseling, assisting, and training employers on a wide array of workplace issues, including hiring and discipline issues, workplace investigations and overtime issues. Attorneys at Davis & Davis, P.C. also have substantial experience representing employers in employment related litigation in courts at all levels, including trial and appellate courts. The employment related litigation handled by attorneys at the firm includes claims brought under most of the major federal and state employment law statutes such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Texas Commission on Human Rights and the Texas Whistleblower Act.
